Indrani Parthasarathy
Indrani Parthasarathy is the daughter- Disciple of renowned Guru Radha Sridhar of Bangalore (www.bharathanatyam.org)
She has also learnt under Guru Muththiah Pillai, Guru Gopalakrishna in the Pandanallur style and Guru Krishnamurthy, Dhananjayans in the Kalakshetra style. She is trained in Kuchipudi in the Vempati style and has learnt Carnatic music.She is a rank holder in the Karnataka Proficieny exam and a graded artist of the Dooradarshan.
She has performed as a solo artist in India, UAE and US. She is the Artistic Director-Teacher at the Abhinaya school.
She began her dance teaching career in Venkatesha Natya Mandir, Bangalore and has trained many students Sharjah, UAE and now is the principal teacher and artistic director at the Abhinaya School of Performing Arts
Anupama
Anupama began her Bharathanatyam training in the Pandanallur style under Indrani Parthasarathy in Sharjah, UAE and has continued her education in dance through her professional life in Houston, TX. In 2002 she performed her Arangetram and since then has blossomed into an accomplished dancer and a teacher in the Abhinaya school of Performing arts. She performed in UAE and in India. She has taken a lead role in all Abhinaya productions such as Mohini Bhasmasura, The Tulasi Garland and Neela Madhava. She has collaborated with many local artists on major productions such as Bharatham Amudham, Radhe Radhe to name a few. Recently she worked as a dance coordinator and a dancer in Shivagami Sabatham a mega musical dance drama produced by Ramachandran Muralidaran of Chennai. She is a staff member at the Abhinaya School of Performing arts besides pursuing a career in business.
Sindhu Bhaskaram
Sindhu is a dedicated Bharatanatyam dancer who has been learning, practicing and performing the classical dance form devoutly for the past ten years under the tutelage of Guru Smt. Veena Muralidhar and later under the able mentorship of Guru Smt. Revathi Narasimhan in her dance institute, Natya Niketan to master her nritta and abhinaya. She has successfully completed her junior and senior dance examinations with distinction.
Sindhu has given many solo as well as group performances at various venues in India and in Houston, Texas. Few among such programs were at the Mysore Dasara celebrations, Bengaluru habba, ISKCON etc. in India and Meenakshi temple, UC theatre, ISKCON, Stafford Civic Center, Radha Krishna temple etc. at Houston. She was also a part of a unique program performed all over the state of Karnataka, called Gaana Kuncha Nrityanjali, with the famous personalities of the art field- artist B.K.S. Varma on the canvas and Shashidhar Kote on vocals, which gave her the opportunity to showcase her skill in spot choreography on stage.
Sindhu has also learnt Carnatic classical music as a vocalist from Vidwan Venkata Raghavan and later from late Vidushi Smt. Vijaya Vani and has completed the junior grade examination with high score. She has choreographed many pieces, not just in the classical Bharatanatyam style but also in other styles of dance such as contemporary, folk, liked by a wider spectrum of audience. She was also a part of many stage productions of Hanumantanagara Bimba, since her childhood and has worked both on-stage and off-stage for many plays under the guidance of Sri. A.M. Prakash and late Sri. A.S. Murthy.
Apart from the art field, her notable participation with the National Cadet Corps (NCC) is worth sharing. She represented the state of Karnataka at the All India Republic Day Camp, New Delhi, in the year 2007 and was selected for the prestigious Rajpath parade held on the 26th January of the same year & also for the Prime Minister’s rally. She was also a part of the ‘National Integration Awareness Presentation’, through which she could showcase her oratory as well as dancing skills, and helped bag the directorate of Karnataka and Goa the 2nd place in an all India level.
On the 10th of November 2010, she hosted her Rangapravesha performance in Ravindra Kalakshetra, Bangalore. Graduated on May 2015 with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from University of Houston, Sindhu finds herself closer than ever to her roots in classical dance and wishes to be able to effuse the essence of the rich cultural heritage of her motherland through this celebrated dance form, Bharatanatyam.
